John first discovered his eye for art in high school Visual Fundamentals art class. Then he continued to study art as part of his Architecture degree.  After graduating from UNM John landed a job as an Engineering Designer.  It wasn't until 40 years later that he "retired" from engineering and returned to art.

So, after many years of pushing metal to higher performance it was only natural for John to use metal as his primary media and started ppsMetalArt.com creating everything from sculptures to unique hand tuned wind chimes that play chords.

Yard art is some of John's more popular work.  "The smooth flowing edges take hours to create, but it is my trademark."

Most of John's yard art can be found at the Blue Portal Gift Shop in Old Town Albuquerque.  In addition to yard art, custom art commissions are also available.

Each piece truly is unique in design, appearance and engineering (so much for retiring).
